你 好 Nǐ hǎo – Hello

Students are now learning Chinese Language and Culture.

Students have been identifying that Chinese looks and sounds different from other languages, developing oral language skills through exploring and listening to the sounds, tones, and intonation patterns of the language, and recognising and responding to greetings, introductions, and language relating to their personal world using one or two-word responses and or single-idea phrases. Students have also been introduced to Pinyin (Chinese phonics system) and Character writing.
