During Numeracy, we model and teach concepts explicitly to students before providing them with the opportunity to consolidate their understanding in practical experiences. We encourage our students to think beyond the immediate mathematical concepts and into real life. Students have the opportunity to work with concrete materials, ICT, and in real-world situations to develop strong and long-lasting understandings of numeracy.

We received a Primary Maths Specialist grant for 2023 and 2024, which allowed a staff member to participate in high-quality professional development over the two years. This further developed all staff to increase engagement and outcomes in Mathematics at our school.
