The Arts

The Mount Egerton Arts program consists of instruction in the areas of visual arts, performing arts, media arts, and music. Our comprehensive visual arts program has produced many of the decorations around the school, from mosaics to outdoor portraits to woodwork pieces. Students explore the use of different mediums through their art lessons. Our performing arts lessons are run weekly, with presentations of performances shown at our end-of-year celebration alternating between school concert and Christmas carols.

We are excited to offer our students the “Amplified Music, Dance and Drama Programmes”, which provides our school with a digital platform with curriculum-aligned lessons, video content featuring real musicians, and teacher support to help our arts teachers deliver high-impact, engaging music, dance, and drama classes.

We have been lucky enough to have received a music in schools grant for 2023 and 2024, training one of our teachers in the delivery of music lessons. Through the grant, we were also able to purchase new equipment.
